1798), the visionary and revolutionary who brought human rights to the forefront of Hellenic and
global policy. The human rights outlined by Rhigas Velestinlis were a catalyst for the Greek War of
Independence. The book features four of his seminal works: Revolutionary Proclamations, Human
Rights, The Constitution, and the battle hymn Thourios.
